Originally based in Aotearoa, New Zealand and currently in Amsterdam, Huy Tim creates with a considered exploration of materiality. Huy’s craft contains an openness to spontaneous discovery, where her objects are created intuitively through a materials and process led approach. A collaboration between hand and matter, process and design, Huy works alongside her material, considerately utilising leftover, second hand or naturally sourced textures and fibres to create one offs or small batch designs.
